around here we have a saying…
“You don’t have to be rich to be generous, you just have to be generous to be generous.” and we’ve seen it be true time and time again. We are generous as a church because our Savior, Jesus Christ, has been generous with us. He has been generous with His grace and blessings, leading us to seek out ways we can be a blessing to as many as we can, whether it be within our church, in our community, or around the world.
Always a Portion
Scripture tells us (Leviticus 27:30) that we are all to give a “tithe” 10% on a regular basis. This reminds us to trust God with all that we have and allows us to make an impact in many ongoing ministries. That’s why we say Always a Portion, because we, as followers of Christ, are always called to give a portion in thankfulness to all God has given us.
Sometimes a Sacrifice
Whether it’s sending a college student across the world, helping to prevent domestic sex-trafficking in Knoxville, or even supplying Bibles to high school students at Central High School, this giving is an invitation to be a part of something wonderful. We say Sometimes a Sacrifice because these opportunities come from time-to-time and go beyond our normal tithing.
what ways can i give?
There are a few different ways to give at Fountain City Church!
ENVELOPES: If you like to give through cash or checks, just use of our giving envelopes that you can pick up and return at the InfoCenter in the Main Hallway.
TEXT: You can text-to-give on your smart phone by texting the amount to 84321. From there you will follow a series of links to input your payment information.
MOBILE APP: One of the easiest ways to set up recurring giving is on the Fountain City Church Mobile App. Just click here, download the app, tap “GIVE” and you’ll be all set!
ONLINE: Our most popular way of giving is by simply doing it online. Just click here and you will be able to give one time, set up recurring giving, manage your giving and more!
what happens when I give?
The short answer is life-change. Your giving not only makes a difference in countless lives in our church, community, and around the world… but it also makes a difference in your life as well. God knows what brings His people joy better than any marketing agency or lie from the enemy, so when He invites us to be generous with our giving, we can trust that joy and peace are soon to follow. Here are a few promises we have from His word:
Giving acknowledges God as the giver of everything we have (James 1:17).
Giving reflects our trust that God will provide for us (Matthew 6:19-24).
Giving allows us to be active participants in God's work on earth (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).

Even though complete security is only found in the hands of our Heavenly Father, we have sought out the most secure giving platforms available to non-profits for your giving. This way you can trust that your giving (and information) isn’t landing in the wrong hands.
Your tax records
We have several ways to give, and you are welcome to mix & match them! Just make sure you provide the same information each time (name, email, phone number) so we can make sure your giving statement reflects your offering throughout the year. We email giving statements once a year in January, but you can request a current giving statement at any time by contacting our main office at (865) 689-3385.
